Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeking non-interventional pain management physician for our Elk Grove, CA location.
We are seeking a fellowship-trained pain management physician to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing non-interventional pain management to a diverse adult patient population. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a comprehensive approach to pain management for complex patients incorporating medication management (including opioids), collaboration with other clinicians to include adjunctive therapies, counseling regarding lifestyle modifications and providing a consultative role.
Skills and characteristics desired:
o Compassionate and collaborative approach
o Experience in managing complex chronic pain patients in an outpatient setting
o Understanding and familiarity of current standard of care and guidelines for opioid management
o Willingness to adhere to federal and state guidelines for safe prescribing practices
o Outpatient care only (no in-patient care)
