Sutter Medical Group is seeking Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologists to join our dynamic and growing neonatal care team in Northern California. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in high-acuity, high-volume NICUs within a collaborative, forward-thinking health system committed to excellence in patient care.

 

About Our NICUs

Sutter Medical Center – Sacramento

  • Level IV Regional NICU with 61 beds, expanding to 81 beds
  • ~1,200 admissions annually
  • Advanced care for the most complex neonatal cases

Sutter Roseville Medical Center – Roseville

  • 16-bed community NICU (Level II/III), also expanding
  • ~450 admissions annually

 

Together, these facilities offer a diverse, high-impact clinical experience across both community and regional settings.

 

Advanced Clinical Capabilities

You’ll have access to cutting-edge technology and comprehensive support, including:

  • Conventional, high-frequency ventilation, advanced non-invasive ventilation, and inhaled nitric oxide therapies
  • Pre-surgical and pre-ECMO management for complex congenital heart disease
  • Therapeutic whole-body hypothermia for HIE
  • Full spectrum of pediatric subspecialty support
  • Dedicated regional transport team (air and ground) serving 27 counties
    • Advanced therapies—high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia—available during transport

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is a vibrant and talented community committed to delivering safe, affordable and high-quality care. Our multi-specialty medical group is comprised of over 1,600 clinicians practicing in seven counties in northern California, most within a 50-mile radius of Sacramento. SMG contains primary care and specialty Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians -- nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, licensed clinical social workers and licensed marriage and family therapists, who make up about 20% of our group.
