Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our dynamic team in Roseville, CA.
Program Information:
The Advanced Heart Therapy Program is located at Sutter Medical Center (SMCS) in downtown Sacramento, a 523-bed referral center for the Sacramento Valley region within Sutter Health System. SMCS has been providing heart transplant services since 1989 and currently is the only heart transplant program in the Sacramento Valley region (between San Francisco and Oregon and Utah), as well as one of the busiest mechanical circulatory support (MCS) programs in Northern California. SMCS is a regional quaternary referral center, receiving transfers from more than 15 hospitals in a large catchment area.
The advanced heart failure team currently consists of 4 advanced heart failure cardiologists, 5 cardiac surgeons, 3 cardiac critical care physicians, and a team of advanced practice providers and nurse coordinators. The program is also supported by a full range of cardiovascular subspecialty services, including complex coronary interventions, structural heart interventions, complex cardiac electrophysiology procedures, the only ACHA-accredited adult congenital heart disease program in the area, a bustling cardiac surgery program, and a comprehensive vascular surgery program. SMCS has been awarded the Joint Commission Comprehensive Cardiac Center (CCC) certification, the second in the State of California, and the 16th program in the Nation to acquire this prestigious certification. Recently, the advanced heart failure cardiologists started covering inpatient consultation and outpatient heart failure clinic at a nearby large tertiary hospital, Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
